Bowls is on a roll at Northern, thanks to two top class greens, which provide superb Crown Green Bowling facilities for the club’s 8 teams.
The quality of the greens has been recognised by the hosting of several tournaments in the national calendar, attracting top bowlers from across the country.
The section has 8 teams playing in afternoon and evening leagues throughout Merseyside. Afternoon friendly matches with other local clubs are arranged throughout the season.
Organised social bowling takes place on Saturday afternoons. In-house competitions are held regularly throughout the season.
Not everyone wants to play in competitive matches and there is usually one green available for use even when these are taking place. The greens are open everyday in the season from 11am.
Qualified instructors are available to teach beginners or help bowlers to improve their game, and bowls are available for use by anyone who wishes to give the game a try.
